The Herndon Police Department is seeking experienced, certified law enforcement officers who are ready to bring their skills and experience to a professional, community focused agency in Northern Virginia.

As a Certified Police Officer with Herndon PD, you will perform a full range of law enforcement duties, including proactive patrol, responding to calls for service, criminal and traffic enforcement, investigations, arrests, report preparation, court testimony, and community engagement.

Who We're Looking For

Applicants should be currently certified law enforcement officers who meet the requirements for lateral consideration with the Herndon Police Department.

Out-of-state certified officers who meet applicable requirements may also be considered and may be required to complete Virginia lateral law enforcement training and the department's field training program.
