Compensation: $136,320.00 - $162,672.00 Annually + incentives

Trainee Salary ($82,212.00 - $86,292.00 Annually)
Health and Welfare: Medical, dental, and vision care coverage are paid by the City (to a capped amount) for the employee and eligible dependents
Upon graduation from the academy and appointment to Police Officer, the benefits package will include that of a Police Officer per the POA MOU

The City of Emeryville Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals who are eager to work in a city and department that prides itself on professionalism and community support. Examples of Duties

Upon graduation from the Police Academy, trainees will be sworn in as Police Officers and will begin a 16-week field training program in the Patrol Division. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for:

Answering and responding to calls for service
Protecting life and property
Making arrests
Enforcing federal, state, and local traffic laws and ordinances
Preventing and investigating crimes
Patrolling designated area(s) during an assigned shift on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or by patrol car
Performing crime prevention and community relations activities to ensure a high-level of service to residents.
